Can I use whole wheat flour rather than white all purpose?

Hello! We do not recommend using all whole wheat in this recipe. It will change texture of cookie making it very dry. We would recommend trying with half all purpose flour and half whole wheat flour. Hope this helps!

I only used a cup of flour as a cup and a half would not mix well. Dough was like elastic and texture of baked cookie was heavy. The taste is good. I would keep the recipe but try less flour next time to try and change the consistency of the cookie.

is confectioners sugar the same as white icing sugar, and if it is how can diabetics use it?

Hi there! Yes, confectioners sugar is the United States' equivalent to England and Canada's icing sugar. Both are 10x powdered sugars. All of our recipes are created with a diabetic diet in mind. That said, each recipe meets the American Diabetes Association's standards to be considered "diabetic friendly." Since each person's daily limits on intake differ, it is important to speak with a medical professional regarding how much sugar you can consume daily. Each recipe comes with complete nutritional information in order for you to determine if a recipe is safe for you to consume. We hope that you enjoy our recipes. Thanks!
