If I used regular potatoes cut in cubes, should I cook them first?

Hi there! Yes you need to boil potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes or fork tender before adding to ingredients.

My hubby loves pot pies, but he prefers a bottom crust as well a top. Would the phyllo dough get soggy if used as a bottom crust as well as top?

Hello! Unfortunately, the phyllo dough cannot be used as a bottom crust, since it would get soggy and would not rise. If you'd like a bottom crust, you can try using a pie crust for the bottom, instead. Enjoy!
