I had a very difficult time making these cookies. Hard to blend in the food coloring and hard to press into loaf pan.

Add 1/2 cup Splenda to this recipe also can use 1 teaspoon almond extract to red part if too dry add a bit extra butter or oil... I never use canola oil I have never seen canola growing just what is canola?? I use regular vegetable oil or butter

made these twice!! great cookie!! problem was cutting them so all looked the same!! on the 2nd batch i added more vanilla as i was told by a friend all he could taste was flour!! to me both batches tasted the same!! would definitely make these again!!

These are pretty and I can visualize other color combos for other occasions. Brown and orange at Halloween, Green and yellow for Easter, pink and blue for a baby shower.
