Tomato-Wine Chicken

If you're looking for a melt-in-your-mouth chicken recipe, look no further! Tomato-Wine Chicken is simmered to perfection and is sure to be a favorite dinnertime suggestion.

What You'll Need

1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (4-ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (3-pound) chicken, cut into 10 pieces and skin removed
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

What to Do

In a soup pot, combine the tomato sauce, mushrooms, wine, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper over medium heat. Add the chicken, stirring to coat completely. Bring to a low boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until no pink remains in the chicken and its juices run clear. Remove the chicken to a platter and cover to keep warm.
In a small bowl, combine the water and flour; mix well and stir into the sauce. Simmer over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Serve the chicken topped with the sauce.
