Oooh - this recipe is so beefy! Our Cheeseburger Pie is an easy recipe with ground beef that's popular with everyone from the young to the young at heart. This low-carb, ground beef casserole features lots of flavor, but not a whole lot of the stuff that isn't good for us. And since it's so easy, it's a good recipe to add to your rotation of weeknight meals!

I have not made this yet but would like too. I was wandering if I use regular (not fat free) if the ingredients would be the same or would they change, and if so how would I do it? I know regular milk and all but what about the eggs how many would I use? Thanks for any help. )

Hello! You can use standard ingredients if you prefer; however, please keep in mind that this will change the nutritional information. You would replace the 1 cup of egg substitute with 4 whole eggs. We also recommend decreasing the onion powder to 2 teaspoons if you'll be using lean ground beef rather than extra-lean ground beef. Finally, you may want to increase the salt to a 1/2 teaspoon, since we lowered it in this recipe to meet diabetic recipe guidelines. Let us know how it turns out for you!

I thought it was quite good. Although my husband sis not care for it. But being a diabetic, I feel you can't find any better.

I am going to make this because it really sounds good but will change the ingredients to bring down the carbs.,

I chose to look at this recipe because I thought it was listed under low carb. My husband is diabetic and we follow low carb diet. I do not use lite versions of food and only use full fat products such as mayo and real eggs. Doing that brings the carbs down in this recipe. Looking at the detailed nutrition for this it says the mayo had 15 grams of carbs! Real mayo has 0 carbs! Using all that "fake" stuff is not good. Real foods have been found to be more "heart" healthy anyway.

Eggs are too soft...almost like they're not cooked all the way. Didn't like it also don't know where they got the name from cuz it's nothing like a cheeseburger

I made this but used ground turkey instead of beef. It was great and really easy to make! Next time I will add fresh vegetables for added flavor like mushrooms, minced garlic and peppers.
