Looking for a lighter alternative to cheesecake? Our Chocolate Chip Cheese Squares start with a light and fluffy base made from reduced-fat cream cheese and reduced-fat sour cream. Cocoa powder and chocolate chips take them over the edge.

This is one of our favorite desserts. My husband (non-diabetic) loves it.

These look so decadent and sweet. Chocolate is my favorite and I love a good cheesecake recipe. I think this one will fit into my new recipe list as a fun favorite for the whole family. If I double the recipe how long do you think it would take to bake in a 13 x 9 pan?

Hi there! While the Test Kitchen has not made this recipe in a 9 x 13 inch pan, we believe that it will turn out well. We recommend checking on the squares 30 minutes into baking to determine if they need more baking time. Enjoy!

How do I convert "cup" to either pounds/ounces or metric quantities? Love the look of this recipe!! Sheila (England)

Hello Sheila - There are several free conversion tools available online that can help with this. Here's one we found: http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/cooking/ If you give it a try, we'd love to know how you liked it! :)

I often make this when I am entertaining, and use it for dessert with whipped cream and raspberry coulis. NO-ONE has ever picked that it is sugar free. A comment was " IT IS INCREDIBLY YUMMY FOR SOMETHING SO HEALTHY" !!!!!!

Oh well I love chocolate and I just don't have a food processer and so I just don't know if I want to do all of this work by hands!

Don't worry, there are a couple alternatives. Instead of a food processor you could use a blender or even a hand mixer in a bowl.

Looks like a great recipe. I'm lactose intolerant so I substitute Ricotta Cheese for the cream cheese. I've done this in other recipes and it works great!
